This class is fairly advanced and not intended for those
who have never used VFP/VMP. Attendees are expected to have the following skills:
- Application-development experience, having created at least
a major portion of one or more applications (not necessarily VFP or VMP)
- Familiarity with the Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP interface and the
Visual FoxPro development environment
- Experience creating Visual FoxPro application components
(classes, forms, controls, etc.)
- Experience creating and using Visual FoxPro classes and
subclasses
- Experience creating and using Visual MaxFrame Professional
components (if not, you may not be able to keep up with the rest of the group)
Attendees are encouraged to bring their project-specific design issues
for consideration, and our
instructors welcome questions on
topics outside the prepared material.
To sign up for a class or for more
information, call 1-816-350-7900 and ask for VMP Sales or use our
online registration form.
Custom training (hands-on
or lecture style)
Custom (usually on-site) VMP training is available when you
need to train your entire team on a VMP project. The training is customized to your
specific application, and is tailored to the skill level of your team. Duration is at your
discretion, depending on your needs:
- 3 days, similar to the Scheduled 3-day classes
(hands-on) described above, useful when the entire team meets the skill
requirements of that class
- 3 days of advanced training on specific application project
topics, when the attendees have already mastered VMP basics
- 5 days, incorporating the elements of Scheduled
3-day classes (hands-on) described above, and adding custom/advanced
project-specific topics
- any duration/topics that accommodate your needs
Once development of your project is underway, our
instructor developers are available to return at appropriate times for follow-up training
or to assist with any other aspect of development or Visual MaxFrame Professional
integration.
To schedule training or for
more information, call 1-816-350-7900 and ask for VMP Sales.
User groups and other informal groups can offer VMP training classes of any
type.
Instructors
Visual MaxFrame Professional class instructors are unique
in that they are VMP developers who periodically train others rather than being trainers
who occasionally work with VMP.
